Help! New (to me) G37x died 30 mins after buying. Any ideas? - 2013 Infiniti G37x
Maybe a dumb question, but I’m broke and could use all the help I can get since I can't afford a shop right now.
My dad just bought me a 2013 Infiniti G37x today with 190k miles. We test drove it and it felt perfectly fine—no lights, no overheating, no weirdness. Then, about 30 minutes into the drive home, the steering wheel locked up, the car lost all power, and I had to veer off the road. The CEL (Check Engine Light) came on immediately.
The symptoms:
• Wouldn't turn over at first (just made a clicking/struggling noise).
• Added fuel just in case, but still no luck.
• Finally got it to start after a jump start.
• Took it to AutoZone: They tested the battery, alternator, and starter, and said they all seem fine.
Since it died while driving but restarted with a jump, I’m confused. Does anyone have ideas on what I should check next or specific G37 quirks I should look into?
