My alternator went out 2 weeks ago and I had it replaced the next day. Ever since then, the car has been hunting at idle (RPM slightly bouncing up/down) and the interior/exterior lights dim/pulse, especially when stopped or sitting in drive. Once I start moving, it smooths out a lot.
I originally told the shop I thought it was still an alternator/charging issue, but after testing it they didn’t think it was the alternator. Instead, they cleaned the throttle bodies, replaced the air filters, did an idle relearn, and used BG 44k injector cleaner. The issue is STILL there exactly the same.
Before the alternator replacement, the car NEVER did this, which is why I’m getting pretty frustrated at this point.
