Everyone says internships matter, but my resume can’t get me an interview. What am I missing?

I'm a CS major graduating Spring 2028 and Ive been applying for Summer 2026 internships since January but havent gotten any interviews yet.

I've been told my resume is strong for my experience level, but clearly it must be lacking somewhere to not get one interview from all the internships I've applied for. I'm mainly applying for SWE or embedded systems internships, but I'm open to web development roles. My goal in like is to work in robotics, but I know I have to start somewhere.

I do tailer my resume for each internship, but this one shows most of my experiences and projects. One piece of advice I received was to split this into two versions: one for web development and the other for robotics/embedded systems.

I had some demands with the classes I was taking and now that the Spring semester is over, I'll be doing more robotics projects and upgrading my current robotic arm project by adding a camera and implementing motion tracking. I also got a research opportunity that is robotics based.

Any thoughts on why I might be struggling to get interviews or advice on what I should do to improve?

I'm applying only in the US, and im open to in-person, remote or hybrid. I'm willing to relocate.

I appreciate it!
