academic - first time as a non native

i posted on here asking about how much it would cost my score if i forgot to do an intro in my writing task 1.

well, here’s my result. i’m super disappointed in my speaking and writing results. i’m not a native but i’ve spoken english almost all my life. i also had close to zero prep for my ielts, other than watching a video about the formats of the test.

i only needed a 6 for my uni requirement. but i’m a very competitive person, so im quite sad about the two 7s i got.

anyway, ask me anything and ill do my best to answer!

writing task 1 no intro?

i had my IELTS today, without much prep. i just went through this community and realised how badly i performed in the writing part 1 specifically. i did not do an intro at all, i just started with the trends right away. how much will this affect my grade? i was hoping for at least a 7

i was supposed to have my HSG appointment today, but i chickened out and stayed home instead.

i’ve read too many horror stories about it and my pain tolerance is close to nonexistent.

this could’ve brought husband and i one step closer to getting answers. i so badly want a baby. i feel like i’ve messed up everything.

this appointment was at a public hospital in my local city, which are so difficult to schedule. i have my next appointment with the doctor in mid June, but i feel like it’ll be useless since i didn’t even get the HSG done.

my husband will be submitting his semen to the lab next week, so at least we’ll get some new information.

i just feel like a failure right now. do i even deserve a baby?
