So I uploaded my video and it was flagged (Immediately after upload) for a music copyright violation. They did specify in the timeline where it happens and the audio in question, so at least I can identify and deal with it.

The song in question was playing publicly from a loudspeaker while I was walking by. I had no awareness of it all, didn't add it in myself. As a newbie I understand the basics of the copyright rules, but this I thought would be a "fair use" situation, or in some way excusable. Logically, it is excusable. But I understand they obviously err on the side of extreme caution. I opened a dispute (just to see what would happen) and it said this could take up to 30 days.

Upon further research I learned, to my surprise, that even hearing music secondhand through a public loudspeaker is indeed a legitimate violation.

I was thinking I could edit out the offending audio in the Studio Editor in Youtube, but the Audio section is grayed out - it says because of the copyright. It doesn't look like I can remove or replace any audio, I would think this would an allowable option. I'm researching on what I can do if anything in the Studio Editor, that would certainly be quicker.

So would it be best instead to just delete the whole video and re-upload a new non-offending version? It only has 10 views lol so I'm not concerned about losing traction.

Thanks for any advice.
