Looking for some guidance and/or hope. I am 5 days post injection on my lower back on the right side but feel worse than prior to the injection.
For background, I am 28 and I have had sciatic pain on my left side for almost 10 years all the way down from above my butt into my heel. I had gone to PT for it around 6 years ago. It didn’t fix it but I felt a little better after a few months.
Around 3 months ago I got extreme pain on my right side with pressure (squeezing) into my right quad and spasms throughout my entire body, including my arms and neck. Went to PT for the past 2.5 months and got imaging showing 2 subtle herniations in L5-S1 and L3-4 on the left, and a subtle disc bulge and herniation in L4-5 central. I am 5 days post epidural and I have pitching nerve pain that feels like my legs are about to explode from pressure, worse than before and down both legs. I am completely stiff and have pain whether I try to lay, sit, or stand. My dr just prescribed additional medicine to reduce inflammation and calm the nerves.
Would be really helpful to hear any thoughts if this is normal, or if I should be concerned. Also did anyone in similar situations experience this?
