This is my set of stairs leading to the second floor. My baby just turned 1 and is wanting to explore them more now. We have been lucky enough that the past few months putting some boxes on the bottom step has work from keeping her out. She is now big enough she can push the boxes off. Any suggestions on what I can use to keep the steps blocked. A baby gate doesn't work bc there is no railing on the one side and gate on the upper steps still leaves her room to fall off the landing.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated!
