Unpacked my X100VI today, which is my first Fuji. While everything seems in order, the shutter button behaves differently than I expected. I do find reports (also in here) that the camera doesn't AF when pushing the button half-way, but my experience is different:
If I push the button to the first point of resistance, nothing happens. No sounds, nothing changing on the LCD. Initially, I thought the bloody camera wasn't working.
But then I push a little more, and feel a tiny click to a second resistance point that activates the AF.
Pushing it further down takes the picture.
It is not impossible to make pictures, but it requires a quite sensitive finger - more so than I find reasonable. And certainly not nice for action settings.
My Canon camera works different. There, the first resistance point activates the AF. Do Fujifilms work differently in this respect? Is this normal behavior for my camera?
