Was thinking of attending my first ever f1 race (in person) in Las vegas, idk as I am a new fan, but is that the most expensive in the US? lmfao idk.

BUT I can't figure out at ALL how to even BUY tickets? wtf is that? if I wanna go to any MLB or NBA game it's easy as pie. But do they not really want anyone coming (not that they won't some how get there) But what the heck?

Btw, if I am staying in a hotel on those days could I get away with just being on a balcony? presumably any rooms with a view are $$$$$$$$$$$$$ anyway? not sure what to expect, what the best bang and frankly don't want to spend much, I am a new fan.

Would be me and my gf.

Hello,

Looking for decent options for these items, don't need to be the cheapest off amazon, but I also don't need formula 1 highest rated most expensive brand either.

Don't care about racing snobs either, so I am looking for a realistic fair priced set of gear, what's some good brands or models of some of these things?

I know there will be the obligatory snobs "don't skimp on safety here is the most expensive option types" but honestly not interested this time around. Spec meeting of course. It's kart racing, less motorsport/motocross and significantly less risk than GT,F1 etc. an FIA F1 custom carbon fiber helmet is just plain not required and not spending that much.

Esp since I will be LO206 and in Masters, where while I am sure comp is fierce, prob not the same level of senior etc, nor the shifter karts.

Thanks in advance for realistic suggestions. I will also be buying a kart in the same month so best bang for buck is always appreciated.

I may skip on the suit for now and just use a rib protector (suggestions for that too is helpful) at least for the first month or two. Although any suggestions on what to spend it on and where to save at is also appreciated, esp for a newbie, ex) if it's better to spend more on the helmet (expected) and maybe forgo the shoes and suit for a bit til I can spend more... etc etc. (since I think for the masters they don't even require suits or shoes (other than closed toe)

Hello,

Here are two karts I am looking at and would love some feedback. This will mostly exclusively be ran at Quaker city I don't think I will ever travel this thing, and it will be stored there at least for a year.

pics here: http://imgur.com/a/znRzSou

They are asking 2250 with a new LO206, and 1950 with a used LO206. I believe I will get the seat too, ready to go for those prices. This is a " like new" Magik Kart from 90 racing, which also has a garage there

OR

a kosmic with an LO206 all used. for 2750 Kosmic Mercury w/ Lawson Senior LO206 ,MXJ Wheels, frame savers, MyChron mount (MyChron 5 available extra), Tillett T11 XL seat w/full Strut Kit. New Kosmic factory graphics. From PKC at quaker city motorsports

Pics here: http://imgur.com/a/xenz6le

Thoughts on this? I think the nice thing about the kosmic is that pkc is there at the place, replacement parts support etc, while 90 racing is from PA< BUT there too usually and maybe still able to assist etc. BUT is that worth 800 more? PKC said not really willing to negotiate.

This would be my first kart. The cheaper price seems a lot more enticing tbh. AND they did say the 90racing would be mostly free support. Which is nice, although grain of salt there since I don't know and it's pre purchase of course, but so far they have both been very helpful and nice. I work in sales, so I know pre-sales is another story however. what matters is after lol.

EDIT: My bad, it was not misrepresented. I sorta mis read here is the description messages edited for privacy:

Have a like new Magik Kart which we can put together with a brand new LO206 or a used Tuned one.

Also have a great deal on a Brand New Best Kart which again can be put together with a new or used LO206. One of our guys on a BestKart is doing great in LO206 Masters at Quaker City, Thompson, and formerly Pitt Race.

I'm happy to answer any questions you may have on kart racing no matter what kart you get from whomever so please ask away if you have any questions!

Best regards,

I have what might be a perfect set up for you.

For true beginners to the sport the thing they need most is laps. Tons and tons of practice laps to refine their skills. So for new drivers we actually find it is better to get a brand new engine and drivetrain on a used chassis. The brand new engine has no hidden surprises and is ready to do a ton of laps. Once you get somewhat on pace then the engine will be ready to be sent to the engine builder of your choice for a tune.

We have an RK Kart (Robert Kubica) which is made by birel/ART in Italy. It is a great four cycle kart. It is in very nice condition. It is older so will fit your price range.

So looks like I mis interpreted what was pictured. I was asking for a bit cheaper so for the 1950 with an LO206 was this RK.

Hello,

I have seen a few things like Racebox mini, mychron etc, but I was wondering what a good option might be for something I can use on rental karts (esp kind without round steering wheels) that I can get lap times reliably, as well as corner times + or - in each corner etc.

I have an app on my garmin called F3b and it's not that great indoors, at least I can't really get it to do much. and I don't see any accuracy or use with manual lap marks, like clicking the button ESp since my karts lap is always on a corner (idk why they put the timer equipment on a corner)

thanks
