Recovery after 4.5 years of AH

Hi girls

Sorry for the mistakes, I'm French.

I got my periods back after more than 4.5 years of hypothalamic amenorrhea.

Contrary to other people's experiences and what I've read online, I didn't eat more or stop exercising.

In fact, I'm not super athletic; I just walk 12,000 steps a day and do yoga and Pilates.

I was anorexic around age 18-20.

I'm orthorexic.

I never thought I'd get my periods back.

They came back unexpectedly.

I had symptoms: very clear, watery discharge at first, then sore and swollen breasts, and constipation.

My cycles are probably anovulatory (long, irregular, with very light periods).

I've gained weight, which I'm finding difficult.

At first, I was so happy my periods were back that I accepted the weight gain, but over time, that motivation has diminished.

My LDL is still very My estrogen is high, so I don't have enough, and I'm taking medication (statins).

Do any of you find this weight gain difficult? And do you get used to it?

I think the reason my cycles have returned is this:

Due to a health problem, I couldn't eat properly and I lost weight.

Then I gained it back, a little more than I had lost.

I think it's this fluctuation itself, and not the weight, that has restarted my cycles.

Not wanting to lose my cycles again, I'm not going to restrict myself; I'm eating, but normally.

Thank you for reading. I look forward to reading your replies or answering any questions you may have.
