Mom and I currently use the shipping option about once a month or so to order some stuff to be delivered here, mostly items that can't be found in store or things with funky stock problems, a couple days before the main shopping run. At some point it switched to having a delivery driver drop off stuff despite having it as shipping but whatever. No complaints up until recently.

Yesterday morning I placed an order that was supposed to arrive "last night" but was hit with delayed last minute. I assumed it was weather related because we had nasty storms throughout the day and figured not many people would be nuts enough to be running orders in that weather. Spent the bulk of today, which had great sunny weather with no rain, constantly checking the tracking, email, and text to check updates and got nada. Literally called the ai voice system like 10 times and ai claimed it was supposed to be delivered "today".

Finally hit a bit after 7:30, got fed up and fought with the AI bot system enough to get me to a human. He looked into it and allegedly what happened is that they were trying to arrange for a driver for my order but every time they tried, they kept "finding missing items in my order" which I can't make any sense of? If it was they couldn't find the item in store, there would of been an update sent to my email. It the picker missed the items, what sort of people are they hiring to pick? My order is 11 items made up of 10 unique items and would of had to have to be an individual pull , not a group pulling rack, because it includes 2 large bags of dog kibble. Allegedly it "will" be delivered tomorrow and he's setting it up as an expedited delivery.

I will be doing another shipped order in about a month for stuff we usually get then but will set it for a different Walmart. If this happens again, I'm going to have to stop ordering from Walmart.com and just hope for the best with grocery runs when we can get there.

Placed an order yesterday to be shipped(well with Walmart it's technically actually a delivery but not like the Walmart+ part of things) that wound up being delayed due to I'm assuming a combo of weather and accidentally selecting the store in the city with a festival going on. The email I got last night claims it should be sent out within the next 2 days.

Let's say there's no action by evening tomorrow and I opt to cancel since I'll be at Walmart on Monday or Tuesday. Would it be possible to talk to the bank to have them release the funds early or would I be up a creek either way? It's just really enraging because the funds are put on hold immediately, from what I can tell Walmart will release the money in the case of an order cancellation within a few hours, yet the bank holds the money hostage for up to 2 business weeks.

And before anyone asks "why did I order Friday when we were going shopping in store in a matter of days", it's because the order covers some stuff we need now/are in direct threat of running low or out on, the potty pads which are cheaper online, and a blind bag for me just because. Car is currently permanently down and the relative we can hitch a ride from won't be in until some time Monday.
