I just did an interview for a Parks Service Specialist position with the Department of Environmental Protection & Florida State Parks and I think it went really well! I have a ton of experience and they seemed to have liked me, however they told me the process of getting hired may take up to 6 weeks.
Can anyone else, whether PSS or Ranger or Assistant Manager or other positions, just tell me their experiences with how long it took to get the call that you got the job and Tallahassee approved?
My friend who works at FWC up there told me approval shouldn’t be an issue, but sometimes they shuffle their feet on some things when it comes to this stuff. I’m super excited and anxious. Just wanted to hear others’ experiences with the hiring process in Florida State Parks to calm my nerves a bit.
