First trip out of the country by myself advice?

Hi. I've been browsing old posts about which countries are good to visit as an american on a budget (Vietnam and Greece and the Galapagos are on my mind) and have been looking on Vrbo. I've never been out of the country but my new job closes down for 9 days in the summer so we can all have a nice vacation.

I'm interested in a beach vacation where I'm primarily enjoying local fruit, swimming, and eating out, a city vacation where I'm wandering around shopping, eating, architecture (does that get lonely?) , or a rural vacation where I'm in a cabin doing ruins tours or hikes and writing. I don't speak any other languages but I'll make an effort. Is Vrbo a good site? Do any of my vague desires ring a bell with some vacations you've been on?

Thank you (:

Looking at a framework and wondering which would be best for me

Hi! My laptop is currently... well you don't even want to know, but it's definitely time for a new one. I was looking for something humane and environmentally friendly and here is where I was directed. My computer desires are largely focused on battery life and word processing. i really like writing outside. Would it be worth getting the laptop 16 with the 85 wh battery? Is there another way to extend battery life that I'm overlooking? How long would it last on airplane mode with a fairly bright screen? Other computer actions will be light gaming, browsing, and playing music, really simple, so I'm mostly focused on a long lived writing outside partner.

Thanks for any input. I'm not too techy so I appreciate more perspectives.

eta: i dont care about size or weight or speed. i appreciate i can get a nice color 😄is the 12 the only cute colored one?
