Beginner to bead embroidery: want to try to show my crafty side with my wedding day shoes!!

Hey yall!! I haven’t posted in here but have seen lots of lovely posts showing off y’all’s skill with beading in all ways, and figured why not each out here for advice and tips☺️

About a week and a half ago, I meant my seamstress for the first time and started settling out details for my dress. Of course we started casual conversations, eventually started talking about our various craft projects and hobbies. I’ve done wire jewelry for years, have been making bracelets with embroidery thread patterns for about 13 years, and so many other crafts. My seamstress brought up the idea of looking into bead embroidery as my next step in the craft arena, and had a WONDERFUL ideal for me to try and add some bead work to my wedding shoes!!

I told her I planned to order Glenda style Birkenstocks to wear on my wedding day (see pictures), and she said to look into beaded leather work to get an idea of how to achieve bead work/bead embroidery on my Birkenstocks- to say the least I would love to try and do seed bead flowers like in the pictures towards the end on my Birkenstocks! But there’s so much information to soak in as a beginner to this side of bead crafts, especially regarding leather😅

If yall have any advice or tips on supplies, techniques, stitching, etc to achieve this I’d LOVE to hear it🫶🏼
