Found a better BMW option after my last post – what d’you reckon lads?

Alright lads,

So I stuck up a post here a while back about another BMW I was thinkin of (this one: Original Post ) and cheers for the feedback on that btw.

Kept looking since and I’ve come across this one now which is lookin like a much better deal overall: https://approvedused.bmw.ie/vehicle/202605062160511?quoteref=d23baac1-6a56-4094-9b05-e20ba410806c

Dealer is throwing in a good bit with it:

  • full major service for 60k
  • 2 new front tyres, rears sitting at about 5.5mm
  • 2 year BMW warranty (which is givin me a bit of peace of mind)
  • all the little dings and dents sorted
  • alloys refurbished
  • full tank when I pick it up

There’s also 1 free service left on it which is handy, and battery has about 4 years BMW warranty still on it. Seems fairly well specced too compared to the last one.

Only thing that’s botherin me a bit… dealer told me it was 49950, but I spotted it online listed at 48950. When I said it to him he’s sayin it’s just a clerical error and won’t budge on price at all. Feels a small bit like a classic tactic so he doesn’t have to haggle but maybe I’m overthinking it.

On the flip side the BMW warranty is solid and I can extend it after the 2 years which is swaying me a bit.

What d’you reckon anyway, sound deal or am I missing something obvious here? Worth pushing harder on price or just leave it?

Cheers 👍

Hi lads,

I’m looking at a 2022 BMW X3 30e M Sport Pro with about 30k miles on it. Savage spec, has the pano roof which you’d nearly never see and the thing looks minded fairly well. Fella is looking for €47–48k.

I’ve been checking the main dealers and the same year X3s are sitting around €49–51k. Big difference is the dealers have them fully sorted with tyres, brakes the whole lot and you get the 2‑year BMW Approved warranty as well.

The guy selling it is saying the service inclusive pack and the hybrid battery warranty till 2030 means there’s no real risk. I’m not fully buying that. If anything goes in the xDrive or the electronics or any of that fancy stuf, that’s a few grand gone straight away. And at 30k miles it’ll probably want tyres and pads soon enough so that’s another 1.5k out of the pocket.

So I’m wondering am I off my head thinking a private sale should be a good chunk cheaper than a dealer. I was thinking more like a 9-10k gap to make up for no warranty and the bits it’ll need.

Would 41-42k be a fair offer in the real world or are people actually getting dealer money for these yokes privately now?

Any X3 owners or anyone who bought a pricey PHEV privately sound if you could share your experience.
