Hi!
Hope someone can help me with this. My father gave me this Polaroid Impulse AF in 1991 he bought it in France where he worked at the time, it came with 2 film cartridges, I used up both cartridges in 2 weeks and after that I could't find new ones where I lived (Portuguese country side), so the camera went to a shelf and stayed there for 34 years with original packaging and store invoice.
Last year I decided to use it to photograph my baby goddaughter on her first birthday, I bought 2 cartridges and used the first one, 8 fantastic photographs everybody loved.
This year at her second birthday I took the Polaroid again to make some kind of birthday tradition, I used the second cartridge and was able to take 3 photos, after that the red light never turned green again.
Replace the cartridge but nothing changed.
Does anyone know what could cause this? I thing it may be the flash no be able to charge, but wanted to know if anyone else had the same problem and how to fix it.
I know electronics, replacing components and soldering. Could it be a capacitor? could it be the electronic contacts on the moving flash?
This particular camera has a great sentimental value for me and would be very happy if I could repair it.
Appreciate your help before I start dismantling the camera...
