For the longest time I believe the per unit cost of electricity was stabilizing around Rs 55 per unit in years 2024/2025. However this year in Jan 2026, I am seeing bills increase progressively.

* January was Rs 59 per unit for 660 units

* February was Rs 65 per unit for 442 units

* March was Rs 71 per unit for 450 units

* April was Rs 66 per unit for 555 units

So I am afraid the rate is now effectively stabilizing around 65 to 70 range now. Going forward, what is the expectation on where this rate is bonding to go.

The war is about to settle and Iran will make a deal. The world is going solar so Iran will lump furiously to make as much as it can. UAE just dumped OPEC and they will pump like crazy.

Expect oil price to touch $50 soon in the next two months. In Pakistan we will still pay 250 rupees per liter instead of 100 rupees per liter because govt will NOT reduce the taxes, rather increase it to 150 rs per liter.

So make your future budgets at pkr 250 per liter.
