Two months ago I Got this faulty one from a friend I hadn't seen in ages. He bought it on a flea market on his way to my place knowing I've always wanted a 3ds but just couldn't afford it as a child. The motherfucker just wouldn't turn on. Battery was as swallowed as an 80 yo man urethra and charging station pins were crooked. Joystick: completely SHATTERED in pieces as soon as I touched it. I had to replace everything along with L trigger flex cable that was ripped when I opened it.
Buttons were sticky from god knows what and required a deep cleaning too.
After a whole month of fixing and testing, I finally got it working and I just finished installing the last games in it. Works perfectly well and all. Just wanted to share my happiness with yall because this was a very satisfactory project for me to just keep it to myself. Besides, this subreddit helped me and my dumb self to go through the whole process of restoring and hacking as I'm not too handy at all with this kind of shit. Inner child is so excited to give hours away to this thing right now.
