White Gravel Shoes - Quoc Grand Tourer vs. Recon 3.0
Hello all! I am new to road biking and just got my first bike. All the advice I got was to start with mtb shoes and pedals while I get used to clicking in and out, and also to be able to walk normally. At the same time, I am aesthetically obsessive and need them to be white. To be clear, I will only be using these shoes for road biking so the scuffing argument is not a concern here.
I tried on a pair of road Shimanos and they fit great. I have very narrow feet. But the only Shimano mtb shoe in all white I could find was the XC 903. And $480 is sadly above my price range.
So I'm choosing between a pair of Quocs or Specialized. Both photos attached. I've read some reviews but I would love to know if anyone has thoughts on which way to go. I like both aesthetically and want to make a decision based on fit for my narrow feet and functionality given that I'm a cycling beginner but assume I will get good quickly (I lift and endurance run a LOT).
Any reviews and thoughts much appreciated!! I am so ready to order these bc it's holding me back from getting out on my bike asap!!!
