Has anyone else had any experience wearing this piercing with braces??

I have had my vertical labret for 5 years and just started my braces journey last week!

I wanted to know if anyone else had trouble with this piercing combo and if I need to consider keeping the piercing out and letting it close while maintaining the braces for the 2 year goal. 😣

Smiling is super difficult with the braces hence the awkward photo, sorry!!

Hi, all!

I have had my vertical labret for 5 years!

Now being full-time insurance, I have taken on the decision of getting myself braces, something that wasn’t addressed during my childhood.

They’re super important and something I need to ward off chronic migraines.
I’m happy to face this step but so sad that I have to consider finally taking out this piercing and letting it close up.

Will it be difficult to get this repierced if it does close up? Is the likelihood of keeping it in low? Should I just close this chapter completely???
I’m just so sad to see it go when it’s been such a signature for me. ☹️
