Don't Sleep on this Game [SoC]
I have to reiterate like a broken record... Don't sleep on Sword of Convallaria! (spoilers below on upcoming units)

They Are catering to us!), Ivan (top ranked dps, dark ice prince vibes), Finn (golden retriever energy with a pet wolf-- might be a top tier unit not sure yet), and Yes... YESSS.. and another new Camelot level Husbando.. Arman (hard to describe.. but he is BIG, looks like a fallen ice king-- absolute Camelot level built, with a beard since I know so many Husbando enjoyers crave those guys but are rarely released)!<
That's Six new Husbandos coming out. 6 out of 14 new upcoming characters. At least 4 of those six will be meta defining.
We are asking for a better ratio gacha... SoC is giving it to us. Stop shilling out to games who gives us Crumbs (Genshin, Wuwa, Endfield, etc.)
So out of 84 characters we are getting up to 28 males. That's a 1:2 ratio. What's more compelling about this ratio is that the males are actually pretty top tier if you're not planning to be a number one game breaking ranking player... As in, with the males they release you can pretty easily clear most content in the game. Granted you need females to round out the team but right now we have a: AoE magical DPS main (Kvare and Lufti), AoE physical DPS main (Camelot and Geralt), and now a Single Target Physical DPS main (Shams)-- that you can build a team around. And two male supports who are meta defining: Taair and >!Heshan. !<That's at least 2 males in a team of 5, but that's also two complete teams. (you could make the argument for a few other males as well but the ones above are meta still) Example: Camelot with Taair and 3 females. Or Shams with >!Heshan !<and 3 females.
So lets take Genshin for example... you can have some good male dps, some decent male support. But they will never reach the power levels of the females. And they get powercrept almost every version-- Also lets not forget there's only 1 male top dps in the game opposed to the 4 females, and only like 2 top male supports out of the like 15 females. No new males are being released any time soon. The next 5 star one will be moving to standard banner (i.e. def not meta or really all that relevant). And that's it. Wuwa is not even a part of the discussion and neither is Endfield.
This is my plea... SoC is a fun turn based SRPG, somewhat f2p as far as gachas can go-- you can max out any character for free just by farming daily (takes like 100 days per character, but you can do 3 at a time), they actively try to engage husbando players. Please consider giving them your (our) support. Plus, there's almost 0 love interests in the game minus maybe 1.. but that's a stretch imo.
