Its one of the most interesting rabbit holes. I highly recommend seeking out mystical experiences. You'll break your ego down, believe you are God observing everything. After you get bored of the hippy "We are all One" You'll go back to duality and then get super lost for awhile. If you are serious about a deconstruction, you should seek mystical experiences but keep your original faith as your foundation. That way if you get really lost, you can always go back. Keep the good parts. The wilderness is rough, scary and exciting. The last part you'll go through is Restoration.

Agnostics will know something else is there, atheists will be confused and maybe learn from it.
