I have in excess of -9 diopter vision. I need high index lenses. Both these pairs are purportedly 1.67 high index. The right-most glasses are 1/2 of a centimeter in thickness at the temple of the frame where it's thickest. The other pair on the left are a full centimeter at the temple. There is some size difference in the lenses. The right is 48mm and the left is 52 mm in width. I just assumed that 4 mm difference was the cause of the extra thickness at the edge, but the more I think about it, I wonder "but twice the thickness?"...no, it couldn't be.
These are also Nikon lenses and I can't find a watermark they typically have.
This was two years ago and now I'm noticing this and it's too late to get this fixed if they are not high index lenses. I need to know for future, "let the buyer beware" when I purchase glasses.
