Work shifts advice

Male student. Working on a no-guaranteed hours contract (I had asked them and they said its neither casual nor part time so I’m assuming its in the middle as I get annual leave) in a entry level hospitality role. Have been consistently working weekly twice a week (might be seen as a part time employee due to that). Contract states “The Employer is unable to guarantee a minimum number of working hours each week, and the Employee is under no obligation to accept, and may reject, any offer of work made by the Employer without prejudice to any future offer of work.” Since I’m a student, I need to take about 2-3 weeks off (not lumped together) every 6 months due to exams etc. Is this a safe threshold or what should even be the threshold?

I just don’t want to be seen as a bad employee or unreliable so anything helps. Cheers
