Hello, I don’t know what the right flair for this as this is my first time posting here, apologies.

For starters, I was active duty army from 2018-2023 then transferred to Reserves for the last bit of my contract (the whole obligatory 8 years thing) and then finally to IRR because of SHARP within my unit.

When I joined my unit in the reserves, no one was there to in process me at all and it was all “wait until the civilians were there” to get squared away. I never did get through the process because no one was ever there and only showed up twice before I transferred out. I did 18 trainings days total with paperwork I had received from IG themselves. BUT, when I received a letter from the VA they said I did 39 days in FY24 when that’s impossible because I didn’t attend for the remainder of the year.

FY23 July SHARP incident occurred during a summer training I was not even supposed to go on (was told later by other NCOs and overheard in conversation), and had turned from restricted to unrestricted. I had a restraining order against the person, and they said they would ensure that the person would not come near me at all—but they did anyways and no one did anything even when I mentioned the restraining order. I was forced to be within the same proximity as this person for another training before the new FY. December I had told them I would not be able to attend because my car had literally stopped working because of the cold, so I took the L. In February, I had to leave early because of a family emergency (family member fell from the roof). During March thru September, I was verbally instructed by both my CO and 1SG to not return due to the ongoing (SHARP) investigation and that I will be transferred into the IRR (my request).

I submitted the information within the timeframe of me getting the letter of debt as well as IG contacting and sending me the documents. Then just two days ago I received a letter from the VA and Debt Management company that they received it and then literally the next letter they said they only deducted $160. I don’t know what to do to prove that I didn’t do no damn 39 training days. My unit has been known for signing people in when they aren’t there and the S1 being super “buddy-buddy” with the all the NCOs and Officers but absolutely gave zero fucks about the junior enlisted.

I really don’t know what to do and seeking literally any sort of advice, I’m repaying back the debt via my Disability.
