This semester I made the horrific mistake of falling asleep after my 4 am work shift and I slept through the time meant for me to take my online final exam for a major requirement course. I have maintained an A the entire semester and a 4.0 gpa for the past 3 years, and I never meant to fall asleep and miss something so important. I know I would have gotten an A on the final, but I now have a high C in the class. I’m begging my teacher to let me take the exam or some extra assignment to bump up my grade to a B, but they’re not answering my emails. I got waitlisted to all the UC's I applied to except for my TAG, and I think this C will prevent me from getting off the waitlist for any of them.
Is there anything I can do? I emailed some people in the department to ask how to get in contact with them. I worked so hard for 3 years to get all A’s just to miss this :( I’m so disappointed and feel like all my hard work was for nothing... I know this is incredibly stupid of me, I just feel devastated as I worked so hard on my UC applications and grades.
