EDIT: The frame is sprayed with an undercoating, that’s why it looks so soft and black everywhere around the rust spots

07 F150 200k miles on the body, previous owner put new engine and transmission as well as all the parts in the seventh picture. The interior and exterior of the truck is in near mint condition.

I just bought the car for $4200 and brought it in for an inspection to realize I missed some frame rot right by the front leaf spring mount.

Welding shop by me says it will cost $2000 dollars to do all the frame repairs and make the truck structurally sound again.

All in after this repair, I’ll be into this truck for $6200. I really like the truck and would very much like to keep the truck for a long time. The KBB value on the truck is between $5300-$6000 if the frame was fixed. What should I do, is it worth fixing and keeping or do I try and break even selling it and start the hunt for a reliable truck all over again.
