Anyone try Airway Exercises or AirwayGym App?

My breathing gets shallow unless I consciously move my jaw forward. I also have a pretty large tongue/small mouth situation and I wake up with dry mouth a lot.

I've already tried ENTs, dentists, sleep studies, etc. but nobody seems to agree on what's actually causing it. Recently I started reading about myofunctional therapy / airway exercises and found the AirwayGym app.

Has anyone here actually stuck with it for a few weeks? Did it help with breathing, tongue posture, sleep, jaw tension, or anything else?

I know it's only a few bucks, but I'm curious whether people noticed real changes or if it's mostly placebo.

A while back, I got diagnosed with sleep apnea. I was tired all the time, snored like crazy, and never really felt rested no matter how long I slept.

At some point, I came across something called myofunctional therapy /orofacial exercises. Basically, it’s a bunch of exercises for your tongue, mouth, and airway muscles. When I first saw it, I honestly thought it looked ridiculous.

Like… sticking your tongue to the roof of your mouth and doing weird face exercises to sleep better? Seriously?

But I gave it a shot.

I started doing the exercises consistently every day. Mostly focused on nasal breathing, tongue posture, and strengthening the muscles around my airway.

And slowly, things started changing.

I slept deeper. My snoring improved. I stopped waking up feeling completely exhausted every morning.

I’m not saying myofunctional therapy is some magic cure, and I know sleep apnea is different for everyone. But for me, it made a real difference over time.

The funny part is the exercises still make me look insane.

But honestly, if looking silly for 10 minutes a day helps me sleep better, I’ll take it.

There's a ton of youtube vids to get started on this stuff

I’ve been really struggling lately trying to find someone I trust to look after my son (he’s on the spectrum), even just for a few hours here and there.

We’ve tried asking around locally and even looked into a few agencies, but it’s honestly overwhelming, either the waitlists are super long or I’m not 100% confident they understand his needs.

I didn’t realize how hard finding special needs care would be until we actually needed it. It feels like there’s no clear starting point, and every option comes with some kind of trade-off.

For those of you who’ve been through this how did you find someone reliable? Did you go through an agency, word of mouth, or something online?

I’d really appreciate hearing what worked (or didn’t). Just trying to figure out a better way forward.

I’ve been dealing with snoring for a while now (according to my partner it’s… not subtle 😅). I always thought it was just one of those things you kinda live with unless you go full CPAP or something.

I saw someone post here about doing mouth exercises and I started going down a rabbit hole about airway stuff and exercises for your tongue/throat (didn’t even know that was a thing tbh).

I came across an airway trainer app that basically guides you through daily exercises to strengthen those muscles.

I’m kinda skeptical but also curious like, does this actually work or is it one of those “sounds good in theory” things?

Has anyone here tried an airway trainer app or similar exercises? Did it actually reduce your snoring at all or just feel like busywork?

Would love to hear real experiences before I commit to doing weird tongue workouts every day lol

My partner says my snoring has been getting worse lately and I’m trying to fix it before it becomes a bigger issue.

I’ve looked into mouthguards and those nose strips but honestly don’t love the idea of wearing something every night.

Are there any natural ways to actually reduce snoring that work long-term? Not just temporary fixes.

Edit -

Someone mention an app called Airway Trainer and I tried it out and it seems to be pretty promising so far. Although its only been a week I feel like my posture for my tongue has already improved a lot which supposedly helps stop snoring.
