Made a thing. Initially for blind users, but turns out really handy for everyone.

**snookerannouncer.com** — reads out the score every time a frame ends. Or every 1, 2, 5, 10 mins.

Built it after hearing a blind snooker fan write in to the Snooker Scene podcast reporting that the commentators didn't announce the points any longer. Dave suggested maybe there could a tech solution. There kinda is, though frames not points...

It's a BETA. Pulls from the snooker.org API. Huge thanks to Hermund for letting me use it. It's not instant, but its not far off.

Useful to have in the background if not fully concentrated on the TV action.

Works with screen readers or as standalone ambient commentary.  Laptop or mobile (if the screen is on)

The Crucible's the first proper test, so things may glitch — please tell me if they do.

Not selling anything, no ads, no signups, not for profit. Just genuinely useful for various people I hope. And an interesting project.
