I got into horseracing as a kid going up to Saratoga/Belmont with my uncle, who passed back in early March. He was the only person I ever really talked races with, so I ended up watching the derby yesterday by myself.

Are there any places , groups, events where I could make some friends who are into the sport?

I'm a Gen z girl so the sport isn't super popular in my demographic, and theres too many creeps at the OTB to make it nice to sit there. I'm also not yet 21 so sports bars aren't really an option

I'm a college student who works 20 hrs a week and I'm in a few clubs, so I'm not home all the time. About a year ago, I adopted a 4 year old cat to be my ESA- and he's been nothing short of perfect. He's extremely clingy, follows me from room to room, sleeps on me every night, tries to jump in the shower, yells at me when he wants me to sit so he can sit on me, I never wonder where he is because he's always touching me. I love having such an affectionate cat and I wouldn't trade it for the world, but I do worry that his clinginess is due to our living situation - a tiny apartment where I'm the only living thing, so when I'm in class or at work he's bored or lonesome. I know he'd probably enjoy another cat but I'm not in a position with finances or my apartment lease to add anyone else into the mix.

Does anyone have any suggestions for toys or ways to keep him stimulated while I'm gone?

He doesn't play very often, I try to get him to play but he only really wants to cuddle. String toys he doesn't care for and loose toys (mice, balls) he loses under the couch and forgets about.
