I recently (27th Apr) executed a USD buy trade via FXRetail (CCIL platform), but I’m stuck due to what they’ve acknowledged as a backend issue.

Details:

  • Trade booked successfully (have confirmation PDF)
  • Amount: $4,000
  • Bank: HDFC
  • Issue: Trade number not propagated to bank → unable to complete remittance

So effectively:

  • Funds are blocked
  • Bank cannot see the trade
  • FXRetail says backend issue

I’ve already:

  • Emailed support + escalations
  • Tried grievance portal (not working)

Questions:

  1. Has anyone faced this with FXRetail/CCIL?
  2. How long did it take to resolve?
  3. Is it better to push for cancel + rebook (with rate protection)?
  4. Any faster escalation route that actually works?

This is time-sensitive since exchange rates can move.

Would really appreciate inputs from anyone who has dealt with this.
