I recently (27th Apr) executed a USD buy trade via FXRetail (CCIL platform), but I’m stuck due to what they’ve acknowledged as a backend issue.
Details:
- Trade booked successfully (have confirmation PDF)
- Amount: $4,000
- Bank: HDFC
- Issue: Trade number not propagated to bank → unable to complete remittance
So effectively:
- Funds are blocked
- Bank cannot see the trade
- FXRetail says backend issue
I’ve already:
- Emailed support + escalations
- Tried grievance portal (not working)
Questions:
- Has anyone faced this with FXRetail/CCIL?
- How long did it take to resolve?
- Is it better to push for cancel + rebook (with rate protection)?
- Any faster escalation route that actually works?
This is time-sensitive since exchange rates can move.
Would really appreciate inputs from anyone who has dealt with this.
