Hi all,
Looking for a bit of advice on the best UniFi AP setup for my house.
I live in a 1,000 sq ft house over two floors. Downstairs is made up of a kitchen, lounge, and hallway, with stairs leading up to three bedrooms upstairs.
I’m trying to work out whether a single UniFi access point mounted centrally on the upstairs landing would realistically cover the whole house well, including downstairs, or whether I’d be much better off going for one AP upstairs and one downstairs for better overall coverage/performance.
For context, I currently have a UniFi Cloud Gateway Ultra running alongside my old eero setup, but I’m looking to get rid of the Eero gear completely and move fully over to UniFi access points.
Has anyone got a similar-sized two-storey house, and if so, what setup are you running? One AP or two?
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated — thanks!
