I’m currently working as an SDE III at Walmart India. My current compensation is:
- 27L fixed
- 5.2L variable
- 9.5L RSUs (vested over 3 years)
I’ve received an offer from JPMorgan with:
- 38L base
- 15% bonus
My main reason for considering a switch is that my current work has become quite monotonous. The team is stable, but growth opportunities feel limited promotions are rare and there’s not much exposure to new challenges.
At the same time, I do value stability and work-life balance, which I currently have.
I’m trying to decide:
- Is the compensation jump + brand switch worth it?
- How is growth and tech exposure at JPMorgan compared to Walmart?
- Should I put in my papers or wait for a better opportunity?
-How is WLB at JP Morgan?
Would really appreciate insights from people who’ve worked in similar roles or companies.
