My cat is honestly one of the sweetest and most low maintenance cats I’ve ever seen. He is around 10 months old now and although he has a lot of energy, he is super easy to care for all around. The only problem is he is seemingly severely addicted to scratching on doors. This is not just a nighttime issue, or a separation issue. He does it during the day, he does it to get out of my room, into my room. He does it to my closet door when I’m in my room with him. It is starting to seriously chip away at the paint in the door (my college landlord isn’t going to be happy) and it’s very loud while I’m working or studying. He has 3 different scratching posts of varying material, and he really doesn’t scratch furniture often. Has anyone else experienced this and know some tricks or have some advice?
