I was diagnosed with stage 3A endo cancer after my hysterectomy in January and took a 3 mt LOA from work.

I was not eligible for fmla, but I did get 3 mts of paid leave from my state. Now it’s has run out.

I am waiting for approval from unemployment, I can’t do the job I have until chemo is over in August, as it is a standing job with lifting heavy items etc., and I am just too weak.

I really hope they approve me, it seems the process takes a lot longer with unemployment these days.

I am wondering if I can apply for ssdi, my cancer is from Lynch syndrome, which makes me highly susceptible to other cancers.

I’m kind of confused going through this process and would love any input.
