Need opinions from vending techs on a Dixie Narco DN5000 BevMax leak issue
Recently bought the machine and had it temporarily sitting in my garage in Kentucky during early May weather (up to 78° or so outside) For the first couple weeks I never leveled it (stupid, I know.) and it would randomly drip small amounts of water onto the floor every now and then unpredictably.
I finally leveled it correctly and almost all leaking stopped except for very minor occasional dripping (literally not even enough to be a concern.)
Yesterday I opened the garage door, then about 20 mins later opened the machine/service door for ~5 mins to change prices. About 5 mins after that while I'm still working inside the machine suddenly dumped a steady stream of water from underneath for maybe a minute or slightly more, then I turned off the machine and it slowed to a stop.
While it was happening I checked the drain pan and it only had a little water in it — definitely not overflowing.
Afterward I shook the machine a little and almost nothing else came out besides a tiny slow drip.
Machine is still cooling normally.
Something to note is it's only done this major "dump" once.
First pic and second shows some rust path from prior drips. It's a 20 year old machine so I'm not too worried, but it's a sign of that's where it is dripping. Just according to the owner it never did it seriously enough to be a problem at the previous location.
My only theory is the temperature and the humidity in my garage making the machine work harder than it's supposed to, freezing the coils, and when I opened the garage door the heat hit them all at once and melted it. Need advice please! Thinking about putting a drip pan under it and monitoring it on location for the first few weeks (we were looking at install this week.) I guess if it's still seems to be a problem we will have a tech come and inspect.
