I had experience doing seo for couple of personal money sites like 5 years ago, then abandoned that topic for whatever reasons. But now Im thinkig of starting a saas or niche sites (not sure yet) and need advice regarding current best seo strategy in the light of AI changes etc.

So from my previous experience I know that I need

* do-follow backlincs from high DA websites as much as possile
* GSC tracking and optimization
* crawlers index files in place
* good content + keyword research

Questions:

  1. can AI content rank well in niche site?, not slope but manually reviewed after generation
  2. what needs to be done for AI search indexing?
  3. which kw research tool is best now?
  4. what on your opinion CHANGED A LOT over 5 years?

Will appreciate your advice

I flip stuff locally pretty often, and figuring out a fair price is always kind of a pain.

I used to rely on Google Lens, but the flow is annoying — take a photo, open Lens, scroll through a bunch of listings, try to guess what actually matches… gets old fast.

So I ended up building a small app for myself to speed this up.

Basically:

  • you take/upload a photo and it gives a quick “worth it / not really” type verdict with some reasoning
  • you can enter the price you see (or skip it) and it’ll estimate what it should go for
  • it tries to guess condition (new / used / worn) and factors that into pricing
  • it can auto-detect price from the photo (OCR), but you can tweak it
  • also adjusts for local currency/market instead of just US prices

Not trying to sell anything here, just curious if something like this would actually be useful to other people who flip stuff or if I’m overengineering my own problem 😅

I often buy and sell used items at offline marketplaces, and to estimate the real market price I used Google Lens. But the process is too annoying: take a photo, open it in Lens, then scroll manually to find prices… At some point I gave up and decided to build an app specifically for this.

  • Just take a photo in the app or upload an existing one — instantly get a clear verdict: “is it worth it?”, with detailed reasoning
  • Enter the price you see (or leave it empty) — the AI will estimate the average market price
  • Automatically detects product condition (new, used, worn, etc.) and adjusts price estimation accordingly
  • Automatic price detection using built-in OCR (you can adjust it manually)
  • The app is aware of country-specific currencies and pricing

Would love to get your feedback 🙌
