I know this sub is for Oceanside. But, the Vista sub is lame so I’m posting here 😆
New(sorta) to the area and landed in Vista. My daughter just recently started at an elementary school located in Vista. Which is predominantly Hispanic…like 96% hispanic according to Best Schools. Not even two weeks of starting she was called the nword (hard r) by another student. The staff and admin handled it appropriately. But, still. She then told me she’s the only black student in her grade. She’s going to middle school next year. I feel like it will get worse in middle school. My first thought was to send her to MLK in Oceanside. But, I lack transportation for that. That’s why I’m here does anyone know of way I can get her back and forth from vista (am-pm) or do they know of any schools in vista that are diverse…because I really can’t find any…I’m seriously completely lost in all this.
