Hello ECT patients! I was wondering whether you could share with me:
whether you are/have been living independently, how you do that
whether you have been in work, and what you do
Or as much as you’re willing to share about these things.
I’m kind-of losing all hope of having any sort of independence, but am thinking ECT may well take any chance of it away completely, because the only area I might be able to work in going forward is academia. Also I presume ECT doesn’t change one’s personality, so I doubt I’ll have anything else to really live for other than to be able to study and work, and so from this perspective it’s proving quite a difficult decision. I also may not have any financial safety net (there’s basically no disability benefits available in my country). I’m 20 years TRD.
