Budget

Hello! I make around $7,000 a month after taxes and 401k contributions, and I’m paid weekly. I’ve been struggling a bit with budgeting even though my monthly expenses are usually between $2,000–$3,000. I currently contribute 8% to my 401k and have about $10k in savings. My goal is to save $50k by the end of the year. Any budgeting or saving tips would be appreciated. I love spending my money which a problem and I do not feel bad, however I need to feel secure so at least I need to have 50k in cash saving.

Scope advancement vs promotion

Good morning everyone,
I was expecting to be considered for a promotion this year, but instead I received a scope advancement. Does a scope advancement count as an internal promotion even if the level/title doesn’t change? Also, is it possible to still receive a promotion in the same year, or are there restrictions around that?
