should i start birth control?
hello everyone! I wanted to start by apologizing for my english, as it's not my first language.
I am 17 and ever since i started my period at 10, i've always had a heavy flow, cramps are so painful i can barely stand up and i have killer migraines that preannounce my period that 99% of the time is about 2 weeks late at most (my doctor told me i might have endometriosis, but after a bad experience with another gynecologist i don't feel comfortable enough to go continue my visits). I also have an active sexual life with my long term boyfriend. We do everything safely and it's a healthy relationship. Lately, we wanted to try something new, which was doing it without protection (i know, kinda dumb but we take everything seriously and safely all the time so we were very careful). He bought me the emergency pill (names vary in my language so sorry!) and i immediately took it after doing it. The pill worked since i didn't reject it in any way, i had the expected mild cramps and so on. Later this month i got my period and i noticed it was late by just 4 days, the flow wasn't that heavy, cramps were basically non existent and i felt ay and functioning the whole time. After a quick research, google told me that i might need to look into starting birth control as it might help me with my period struggles. Has anyone experienced something similiar? What do you suggest i do? Thank you for your time reading this :)
