Not sure if anyone else is still facing this issue, but my 6ghz came enabled via WPA3 (in 2026 eero, saw some people a couple years ago were trying to enable this), but my headset was still auto connecting to 5GHz. I had to disable “use randomized Mac” in WiFi network details > under privacy > on the Quest 3 device. Click your WiFi network that is connected and scroll a little to see this. Should be a switch from “use randomized Mac” to “use device Mac” and mine instantly connected to 6ghz. Before it was 5ghz and was an “unrecognized device” in eero app. Hope it helps someone.
