I (14f) have recently been questioning my faith a lot. Do people really deserve to get tortured for trillions and trillions of years? Even if someone lived a bad life on earth there is ALMOST nothing someone could have done to convince me that they deserve such an unimaginable punishment for eternity.
Some people have it easier than others. If you are born into a Christian household and have it drilled into you that "Jesus is our savior and if you don't believe in this religion you will go to hell" then obviously you're likely to stay with that religion.
However, for example, Muslim people born into Muslim households are taught the same thing. If you don't believe in this religion, you go to hell.
Obviously you're likely to stay Muslim throughout your life. You are likely to have learned about Christianity so you technically are choosing to not follow Jesus. If Jesus is really the answer, then it is very clear that some people have it a lot easier.
The concept of God is unfathomable. I do believe in God but it is understandable why people wouldn't. I understand how it could sound "out there" if you weren't born into the idea of a god.
I know so many amazing and wonderful people on earth who aren't Christian. I have genuinely cried over the thought of some people burning in hell for eternity because they don't believe. Even if someone lived a bad life on earth, eternity is a really long time.
