Hi everyone,

I’m currently on my first cycle of chemo with Docetaxel (Taxotere) + Cyclophosphamide (TC).

Overall, I’d say I’m tolerating things okay — fatigue is there but manageable. Appetite is actually decent too.

But the bone pain is something else entirely.

Especially back/bone pain — it comes in waves and sometimes gets so bad that I’m not even able to walk properly for more than a few minutes.

I’m on Day 7 today. I thought Days 3–5 were supposed to be the worst, but yesterday (Day 6) was honestly horrible.

What I’ve been doing:

Taking paracetamol (Dolo) as advised

Also tried Zerodol (aceclofenac)

Using heating pads

I was also given an injection (pegfilgrastim / WBC booster) and my doctor said the bone pain could be because of that and should settle.

But it’s Day 7 and still coming and going, and it’s pretty intense when it hits.

Is this normal for TC chemo + pegfilgrastim?

How long did this kind of bone pain last for you?

Did anything actually help beyond paracetamol/heat?

Honestly just feeling exhausted dealing with these pain waves.

Would really appreciate hearing your experiences.
