Hi all - I joined federal service recently in a supervisory position from the private sector where I was a senior exec at a large bulge bracket bank. It’s very recent, but I’m getting the sense the role I took is more staff level than I expected. Asking for knowledge as I’m aware I need to learn the federal ropes, but there is a role open at my agency currently that seems more fitting. What happens if I apply and interview? Any tips? I could certainly talk to my own supervisors and aim to spend a year in my role, but want to get some information. Thanks!
