Should i really do a bsc in chemical? Please help me decide:(
So i got 58%le in jee mains 2026 and failed by 4%le(sc category). i am currently studying for mhtcet 2nd attempt(want ict mumbai).I was really confused with doing b.e or a bsc from class 11th but after failing jee it became certain that i would be most probably pursue bsc and then a possible msc further.I want to pursue bsc only because i really want to study chemistry. Now the point is my father is a ict mumbai graduate himself and is working currently in R&D chemical. He has a good position and name in the industry so it becomes obvious that i should pursue my carrier in chemical as there is someone who can guide me better. He even insisted me to prepare for iat and nest and pursue a bsc.He is saying that he wants to run a laboratory and wants myself to become a part of it.So it is clear that i don't need to hunt for a job.In addition to this he says chemical engineering is not so good for me since it is less about chemistry and more about maths+phy. It has flow rate, chemical kinetics and thermodynamics mainly.I want help develop products like what actually people do in laboratories so i am less interested in the machinery stuff.Actually he thinks that i am not made for competitive exams because even after studying 10+ hrs a day gave me a 58%le so i just wanna focus on iat and nest (my last exams) and get any isser. I want to have good qualifications so i might go aboard for a msc. Please guide me regarding what should i do further:(
