Hi r/IndieAndroidApps,

I’ve been retired for a while, but I recently decided to pick up the code editor again. My wife has used the same grocery list app for years, but a recent update buried it in intrusive ads and a monthly subscription model. It became almost unusable for her.

I decided to build Simple Grocery List: Notepad to be the antidote to that.

What it is:

  • 100% Ad-Free: No banners, no pop-ups, no tracking.
  • One-Time Purchase: It’s $1.49 (basically a coffee tip) to support my work. No subscriptions.
  • Features: It handles per-store lists and has a built-in notepad for extra reminders.

I’m not a big company; I’m just one guy trying to keep his brain nimble and solve a practical problem. I’ve just finished the 20-tester requirement (thanks to some of you here!) and it's now live.

I’d love for you to check it out and let me know if I hit the mark on "simplicity."
