I’m a bit stressed about my academic standing, so I wanted to see if anyone has been in a similar situation.

Last term I had a really rough time and ended with around a 44.6% average with a couple of failed courses. I was allowed to continue into this term, and right now I have a 60% and a 76%, with two more grades still pending.

One thing I didn’t report at the time was that my grandfather passed away during finals last term, which really affected my performance. I didn’t reach out back then because I was already struggling earlier in the term (I arrived late due to study permit issues and had to withdraw from a class), and I didn’t want it to seem like I was making excuses.

Now I’m worried about whether I might be required to withdraw regardless of how this term goes. I was just thinking about the gravity of the situation and was wondering if I should contact science advising before the rest of my grades come out or at all?
