Never seen this subreddit before, pretty sure it appeared because I'd been browsing beermoneyuk but who knows. Anyway if this is real and someone wants to do a stranger on the internet a solid, £20 would be pretty helpful to me, just need it for some basic food stuff from Aldi to sort me till Friday.
I'm pretty sure I can pay it back sooner, like Wednesday, but saying Friday just to be safe. Basically someone nicked my backpack in Blackpool on Thursday lmao.
Phone, wallet, keys, jacket, gonzo. Luckily all pretty cheap, like a £80 android, £20-30 jacket, cant remember how much the backpack was, pretty cheap probably idk lol.
Anyway, wasn't too bothered basically, but then I realised that I've got no debit card and I have no tap to pay, I can't get into my online banking without my phone and tbh I cant believe I hadn't thought about the lack of failsafe if it comes to losing my card and phone before
I think it's because if this happened before, you could go into your branch with your passport but like, where is Starling branch lol. It's like a tree that's been climbed by a chubby monkey........branchless
I had to email them, I should have access again by Wednesday at the latest, but I am putting Friday just to be safe. There's probably some other options I can explore but this would honestly just be much much easier, I can use my paypal to send money to my Lloyds account and then I don't have to spend today messing about messaging either Starling or selling something or whatever I would do otherwise
I actually got paid yesterday too so moneys fine, this is just a logistics issue I guess. Logistics might not be the right word. Circumstantial? I am very temporarily and circumstantially moneyless xD
Like I said, not really the end of the world, but would save me faffing about for however long today, hence why I am happy to just chuck double the £20 back to you if you do help me out.
Soon as I get access again, I am gonna keep £50 in my Lloyds and the debit card in my house, Actually, there's a good lesson for anyone reading! Always have a backup bit of money somewhere accessible. Surely that lesson alone is worth £20 right? Hahahaha.....
