Dressing and stitches question
Hi all,
Sorry if this is a silly question and also for all the TMI... I had an emergency c section nine days ago and they put a Pico/wound vac dressing on it which came off yesterday.
The dressing has left a very large amount of sticky glue residue all around the scar and it's making it very uncomfortable - i was not shaved due to the speed needed for my operation and my stomach overhangs the wound a little and it's all constantly getting stuck together. The only solution I have found is shoving a muslin against the wound so nothing touches but it's uncomfortable and I worry not great for healing.
I have been told showering is fine with my dissolveable stitches but not scrub at the area or soak it but I don't know how else to remove all the glue!
Would applying oil also dissolve my stitches? Google seems to think so and I wasn't really given much info by the hospital.
